Non-urgent advice: GP Training
Brunswick Surgery is proud to be a GP training practice
As an approved specialist GP training practice, we may have one or two GP trainees working within the practice at any one time. GP trainees are fully qualified doctors who have previously worked as hospital doctors and are undergoing part of their specialty general practice training. They are supervised by one of the senior doctors at the practice. From time to time another doctor may sit in with the trainee as an observer for educational purposes.
Medical Students
Medical students are sometimes attached to the practice for 4 weeks as part of their training. If you do not wish a student to be present during your consultation, please inform the receptionist.
Non-urgent advice: Non-NHS Work
Some services provided are not covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore need to be charged for. For example:
- Medicals for pre-employment, sports and driving requirements
- Insurance claim forms
- Prescriptions for taking medication abroad
- Private sick notes
The fees charged are based on the British Medical Association (BMA) suggested scales and our reception staff will be happy to advise you about the current charges on request.
